The short version. Your budget lives on your device. If you turn on sync, it's encrypted before it leaves, so we can't read it. We don't use tracking cookies or ads. If you join our email list, we use your email only to send what you asked for, and we never sell it.

The Fidget Funds app

Your numbers stay on your device. Everything you type into the app (balances, bills, spending, debts, goals, notes) is saved in your browser's storage on that device. We have no account system and no access to it. The app never connects to your bank.

Backups and Excel files you create are saved wherever you choose (for example your Files app, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email). They go straight from your device to that place, not to us.

Phone and computer sync (optional). If you link devices, your planner is encrypted on your device with AES-256 before it's sent. The key is created on your device and shared only between your linked devices through an encrypted pairing step. Our server, run on Cloudflare, stores the encrypted data, a random identifier, a version number and timestamps. We cannot decrypt it. Pairing codes are deleted after 10 minutes. You can stop syncing at any time in Settings, and delete the synced copy from Settings once your other devices have stopped syncing.

This website

We don't use advertising, tracking pixels or tracking cookies. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Email list

If you sign up (for example for the free ADHD Tax Audit), we collect your email address, the page you signed up on, your approximate country (worked out by Cloudflare from your connection; we don't store your IP address) and the date. We use it to send the audit, occasional tips and offers about Fidget Funds. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by writing to us. We never sell or rent your email. We may use an email service provider to send messages on our behalf; they may only use your data to provide that service.

Buying on Etsy

Purchases happen on Etsy, and Etsy's privacy policy covers checkout and payment. Etsy shares order details with us (such as your name, Etsy username and order information) so we can deliver your download and help you. We use these only for your order and support.

How long we keep things

  • Encrypted sync data: until you delete it, or after 24 months with no activity.
  • Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Support messages: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent to emails, by writing to . We'll respond within 30 days. These rights include those under the EU and UK GDPR, US state privacy laws such as the CCPA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Cloudflare operates a global network, so data may be processed outside your country. Sync data is encrypted before it leaves your device.

Children

Fidget Funds isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be shown on this page before they apply.
